Who Each Platform Is Built For
Juicebox earned its reputation in AI sourcing: PeopleGPT made natural-language people search real, the company ships fast, and reviewers rate it 4.8 on G2. Its customer wall is lean in-house teams at tech companies: Notion, Ramp, Cursor. Boutique agencies use it too, for the same job: top-of-funnel sourcing.
Talin is built for the agency desk, which is a different job. An agency needs the sourcing AND the outreach across the channels candidates actually answer, AND the client side: winning the job order in the first place. Juicebox covers the first of those three superbly, part of the second, and none of the third.
Outreach Channels
Juicebox automates email, and does it well: multi-step sequences from your Gmail or Outlook mailboxes, AI personalization, reply detection, funnel analytics. Everything else is on you. LinkedIn steps in a Juicebox sequence are manual tasks: it drafts the message and notifies you to go send it yourself. There is no InMail automation and no SMS at all.
Talin runs the channels agencies actually place from. Connection requests and DMs send automatically inside LinkedIn's limits, InMails queue as one-click tasks, email and SMS branch in the same sequence, and every reply lands in one inbox with follow-ups that stop the moment someone answers. For a desk doing hundreds of touches a week, "email plus homework" is not multichannel.
MPC, Business Development, and Signals
Juicebox has no client-side product. No BD sequences, no job-order workflow, no way to market a candidate. Its search filters do include funding stage and growth signals, which is useful for finding people, but there is no account-level signal feed and nothing that turns a signal into client outreach.
Talin automates the client half of the desk: upload your strongest candidate's resume and it builds the scored hiring manager list and drafts the anonymized pitch, while agency-specific signals ride on every account: job postings, department growth, key departures and arrivals, company news, and funding rounds. The BD meeting is the point; the signal is just the trigger.
Sourcing and AI Scoring
Straight credit first: PeopleGPT's search is excellent. Natural-language queries over a claimed 800M+ profiles with filters LinkedIn does not offer (funding stage, investors, average tenure), and a smart-ranking layer that evaluates thousands of profiles against custom criteria with rationale shown. Its $199-per-month AI agents run source-evaluate-email loops autonomously. Reviewers rate all of this highly.
The difference is what the score feeds and where the data lives. Juicebox searches an aggregated index and pitches itself as a LinkedIn Recruiter replacement at a tenth of the cost; profiles age between refreshes, and stale LinkedIn links are its most repeated review complaint. Talin builds the search on LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator itself, live profiles, scores 0 to 100 against criteria you edit, and flows the shortlist straight into multichannel outreach without leaving the platform.
Contact Data and ATS Sync
Both meter enrichment with credits. Juicebox includes 500 to 1,500 contact credits per seat by tier from its aggregated sources; reviewers report verifying contact details manually often enough to mention it. Talin's waterfall runs across 5+ providers and only spends credits on verified results: 97% email accuracy, bounce under 3%.
The bigger agency issue is the ATS. Juicebox gates native ATS and CRM sync behind its custom, annual-only Business tier; below that you export CSVs. Talin syncs two ways with 15+ recruiting ATSs and CRMs, Bullhorn to Zoho Recruit, on every plan, writing every touch and reply back to the record.
Pricing
Both publish pricing, and credit to Juicebox for cutting prices and doubling credits in its July 2026 repricing. Its Starter and Growth tiers run $119 to $199 per user per month on monthly billing, with AI agents at $199 each per month and the ATS-connected Business tier priced by quote on annual terms.
Talin runs $149 to $249 per user per month with the recruiting ATS sync, the LinkedIn and SMS automation, the MPC and BD workflows, and the signals included. A realistic Juicebox agency setup (one seat plus one agent, still without ATS sync) lands around $318 to $338 per month. Compare the desk you get, not the sticker.
