Outreach Automation
SourceWhale supports email, LinkedIn, SMS, phone, and WhatsApp sequences with AI-generated messaging and multi-step follow-ups. It's a solid outreach engine.
Where Talin differs: LinkedIn actions are fully automated. Connection requests, DMs, and InMails fire without manual clicks. SourceWhale creates tasks for LinkedIn outreach that recruiters still need to execute themselves. If you're running high-volume outreach, this difference compounds. Sending 50 LinkedIn connection requests takes 2 minutes in Talin. In SourceWhale, it's 50 individual tasks.
Talin also includes smart branching: if no email is found, the system automatically falls back to InMail. If a connection request is accepted, it triggers a DM. This logic runs without recruiter intervention.
MPC and Business Development
MPC (Most Placeable Candidate) campaigns are Talin's signature move, and nothing in SourceWhale replicates them. Upload a candidate's resume and Talin builds the list of companies and hiring managers most likely to hire them, scores each one on fit, and drafts the pitch.
SourceWhale can send BD sequences like any other sequence, but you assemble the target list yourself. In Talin, the BD list builds itself from the candidate you're pitching.
Talin also layers agency-specific signals onto every account: job postings, department growth, key departures and arrivals, company news, and funding rounds, so the pitch lands while the trigger is fresh. SourceWhale has no equivalent signals layer.
AI and Sourcing
Talin's AI Search Builder turns a resume or job description into a complete LinkedIn Boolean search in about 60 seconds, and its shortlist scoring rates every profile 0-100 against criteria you control, so the first touch goes to the people most worth it.
SourceWhale's SearchAI helps with candidate and client discovery from the browser, but qualifying stays manual; there is no scoring layer deciding who deserves the outreach.
Contact Data and Enrichment
Talin aggregates contact data across 5+ providers and only spends credits when a verified result comes back: 97% email accuracy with under a 3% bounce rate.
SourceWhale ships built-in contact data with email and phone verification. Coverage is solid; the difference is Talin's waterfall across multiple providers and credits that are only consumed on verified hits.
Integrations
Talin syncs two ways with the major recruiting ATS/CRM systems (Bullhorn, Loxo, JobAdder, Crelate, RecruitCRM, Recruiterflow, JobDiva, PCRecruiter, Mercury, TrackerRMS, Zoho Recruit, Lever, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics Sales), writing every touch and reply back to the record.
SourceWhale also integrates broadly, and adds SourceWhale Projects, a lightweight built-in CRM/ATS, if you'd rather not connect a separate system, plus call recording and meeting transcription for teams that want those in the same tool.
Pricing
Talin publishes its pricing, with enrichment credits included in every plan. The number on the pricing page is the number you pay.
SourceWhale prices by quote, so expect a demo and a conversation before you see a figure. Neither approach is wrong, but budgeting is faster when the number is public.
